Visitor Information

The House and the Mountbatten Exhibition are now closed

Broadlands, the historic home of the late Earl Mountbatten of Burma,

is to undergo major remedial work over the next two years.

Of necessity, this will mean that the house will have to be emptied of all its contents

and therefore will be closed to visitors throughout 2009 and 2010.

Please note that the visitor season of 2011 may also be affected.

It is hoped that certain items of particular interest may be loaned and put on public

display elsewhere. Details of any arrangements will be published on this site.

Lord Brabourne is pleased to announce that the local Romsey firm EDP

of Bell Street, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, will design these

new systems in the house.

It is also the intention of the project’s management team that, wherever possible,

local companies and contractors will be used.

This website will be updated as the works progress.
